Friday Night Fences at the Unicorn Centre An 8-week friendly Summer Showjumping Series · Proudly sponsored by Discount Equestrian
Join us for Friday Night Fences, a friendly and supportive showjumping series at the RDA Unicorn Centre, created for riders of every level who want to build confidence, gain experience and enjoy their jumping in a relaxed atmosphere.
Whether you're stepping into the ring for the very first time over poles on the ground, bringing on a young horse, or chasing 90cm clears, there's a class for every horse, pony and rider. With 8 classes running each week from Poles on the Ground through to 90cm, there really is something for everyone.
Riders earn points each week based on their finishing position, and points accumulate across the series. The top 10 on each leaderboard will be invited to compete in our Grand Finale on Friday 2 October 2026 — a celebration of the season, finished off with a mounted prize-giving, a lap of honour and a fancy dress finale for all competitors.
Cash prize money is awarded in every class each week, based on the number of entries (1st £15, 2nd £10, 3rd £5), with rosettes to 8th place in every class kindly sponsored by Discount Equestrian. Every competitor in Poles on the Ground, Mini X-Poles and 40cm also receives a rosette and a sweet treat — because everyone deserves a little something for having a go!
Our café will be open all evening, so bring your family, friends and supporters. All profits from the series go to the RDA Unicorn Centre, a registered charity (No. 1062577) providing horse-based activities, equine therapy and volunteering opportunities for young people and adults with additional needs.
Expect a warm welcome, supportive judging and a real focus on encouragement and having fun with your horse. We can't wait to see you there!
Classes start at 4:30pm. Open to all — no membership required. £14 per class or £25 for two classes.
